You can play our games with any miniatures you want, in any scale, on a small space (a 3x3' table is more than enough if you play with 28mm figures). We have zero tolerance for bookkeeping so our games do not require complex calculations, lists of modifiers and the like. Once you know the rules, you can finish a scenario in 45 minutes to one hour. Most of our games can be played with as little as five miniatures per player, and you are not forced to use any "official" miniatures, so our games are ideal for those who are just starting out.
Our first fantasy skirmish ruleset Song of Blades and Heroes was nominated in 2008 for the Best Miniature rules Origins Award. Our Napoleonic skirmish ruleset Song of Drums and Shakos was nominated at Historicon and won the 2009 Origins Award for Best Historical Rules.
All our "Song" games, including Mutants and Death Ray Guns,use the same basic engine, so once you know one of them you can learn the others in a very short time. Our games are supported by a yahoo group with a large community of active members; all gaming questions are answered promptly, often within minutes of posting, and there's plenty of free material available, including a free webzine, scenarios, profiles, fan-made supplements and much more. New products are coming every month!
