Expert Tips for Designing:
- Vertical photos work best, like from your phone!
- Photos are fitted vertically to the card when choosing the full bleed option. This means a wide landscape shot will be cropped on the left and right, only showing what is in the middle of the picture.
- Snapchat photos and screenshots work great for the framed option, but will leave white on the left and right of the picture when choosing full bleed.
- When picking between framed or full bleed, do so near the start. When changing between the two the website has to rebuild the deck in the background each time, so to save time change this option after uploading a few pictures and deciding what you like the best.
- If you want to have a landscape picture that is rotated 90 degrees so it will fit the card sideways, you will have to do that yourself before uploading it!
- You don't need to upload crazy high resolution photos. We print at 300DPI, and remember these are cards that are 2.5"x3.5", so don't use very large and high resolution DSLR photos for example! They will look just as good scaled down a bit, or compared to photos from your phone.
- The single card preview is a high res, actual preview of the card. The full PDF preview you can click to view is purposefully a low res sample, just to showcase the placement.
- We recommend waiting until all photos are uploaded for each card before doing the full PDF preview to check over everything. It takes 1-3 minutes to load as it generates your card deck in real time so be patient, and if there are issues with pictures you want to fix just take note of that, and fix them after reviewing the whole proof!
- Our recommended order of operations is uploading a few pictures, reviewing them at the start and picking framed or full bleed, then uploading the rest of your pictures even without previewing each card. Then view the whole PDF preview and fix and "view" any cards you want to edit or change the pictures of. Then place your order!
- For the fastest uploading, sort "Show" by the suit, and upload all of your pictures for each suit at once! Just let all 13 load to 100% before clicking to the next suit.
