Custom Playing Card Deck

Traditional Tarot Size (2.75" x 4.75")

High Quality custom full color, full bleed Traditional Tarot Size (2.75" x 4.75") playing card decks from Superior POD. You can put whatever images you like on the deck FACES and/or on the deck BACKS.

File Set Up Process:

1) Download the single card template from the link below OR just create your own blank card to work from with the following specs:

- Finish Size of Cards: 2.75"x4.75"

- Bleed in addition to that size 0.0625" on each edge of the card making your actual blank document 2.875"x4.875"

- Resolution set to at least 300DPI

- Safe Zone/Border Size of 0.125" from each edge of the card (meaning actually 0.1875" in from the edge plus bleed).

2) Set up your cards fronts and backs individually with whatever design software you would prefer.

3) Save those cards individually.

4) Either create a multipage PDF if you have the ability to do so, or just leave your cards individual and make a zipped folder with your artwork.

4a) If doing individual cards just make sure the fronts and backs are named accordingly for "card face 1", "card face 2", etc. If you have a common back just name that "Back". If you are doing unique backs just make sure they are labeled accordingly for "card back 1", "card back 2", etc. and we will handle the rest.

4b) If you are creating a multipage PDF then simple have the fronts as the first pages of the PDF in order, and then the backs following after the faces in the same order.

5) If you want a specific card on top of your deck then have that card as the final card in the PDF or the last named card for your deck, as that is what is on top of the deck after the cards are cut.

• Save your Fronts/Faces as per the template.
• Save your Backs as per the template.
• If you have a common back for all the cards you can upload a single back page. If you have unique backs for all cards be sure to include all back sheets in the multipage PDF you create and sent or in your zipped folder.
• Be sure your PDF's are 300dpi or greater and sized correctly to our 12"x18" template sheets!

Poker Size Custom Card Decks (3.5" x 2.5")

Please note that the word "POKER" refers to the size of the card and not what is on the cards. If you would like to create your own traditional playing cards like what is used for poker we do have standard playing card faces on file, so please simply note that in the product description.

Waterproof/ Tear-Proof Playing Cards

High Quality 11pt/375gsm Stock

These cards are printed on an 11pt (375gsm) polyester stock which is completely waterproof and tear-proof. They have a measured thickness of 11pt, but are almost twice the physical weight of our standard 12pt playing card stock measuring 375gsm. Currently we are offering these as poker cards (2.5" x 3.5") at launch, but if you would like these made to a different size, do not hesitate to reach out to us and we can get that worked out for you.

As waterproof/ tear-proof cards this product could be perfect for the following uses and more! You could have an indestructible deck of playing card for the kids to use, great cards for the beach or for days at the lake with no fear of ruining them, playing cards while relaxing in the water (or in the rain), or even at parties where drinks (and spills) are often involved playing some of your favorite card games. You can create your very own deck of cards that would last a lifetime.

Euro Poker Size Custom Card Decks (63mm x 88mm)

High Quality custom full color, full bleed Euro Poker Size (2.48" x 3.46") playing card decks from Superior POD. You can put whatever images you like on the deck FACES and/or on the deck BACKS. Please note that the word "POKER" refers to the size of the card and not what is on the cards. If you would like to create your own traditional playing cards like what is used for poker we do have standard playing card faces on file, so please simply note that in the product description.

File Set Up Process:

1) Download the single card template from the link below OR just create your own blank card to work from with the following specs:

- Finish Size of Cards: 63mm x 88mm (2.48" x 3.46")

- Bleed in addition to that size 0.0625" on each edge of the card making your actual blank document 2.543"x3.523"

- Resolution set to at least 300DPI

- Safe Zone/Border Size of 0.125" from each edge of the card (meaning actually 0.1875" in from the edge plus bleed).

2) Set up your cards fronts and backs individually with whatever design software you would prefer.

3) Save those cards individually.

4) Either create a multipage PDF if you have the ability to do so, or just leave your cards individual and make a zipped folder with your artwork.

4a) If doing individual cards just make sure the fronts and backs are named accordingly for "card face 1", "card face 2", etc. If you have a common back just name that "Back". If you are doing unique backs just make sure they are labeled accordingly for "card back 1", "card back 2", etc. and we will handle the rest.

4b) If you are creating a multipage PDF then simply have the fronts as the first pages of the PDF in order, and then the backs following after the faces in the same order. If you have a common back then you need only include one copy of the back at the end of your PDF. So if you had a 54 card deck with a common back your PDF would be 55 pages.

5) If you want a specific card on top of your deck then have that card as the final card in the PDF or the last named card for your deck, as that is what is on top of the deck after the cards are cut.

6) After finalizing your individual cards simply upload them to us with the order and we handle all set up placing cards on our template sheets. DO NOT SEND US FULL SHEETS OF CARDS, CARDS ON 8.5x11 SHEETS, OUR OLD TEMPLATE PRESS SHEETS, OTHER COMPANIES PRESS SHEETS, ETC. Only send the individual cards as instructed on how to design.

Design Guidelines and Tips

All artwork must be submitted on our print ready templates that are available for download below. Please ensure your top is designed to be on the TOP part of the template, and the same applies for the bottom. Template sheets should be 13"x19" and at least 300dpi while you are designing, and then ensure those settings are applied in your saving/exporting as well. For a better quality product please follow the safe zone recommendations shown on the die for all important text and artwork so nothing runs too close to the edges or folds on the box. Finally, make sure the bleed area is filled in to match/mirror your artwork, and hide all of our template layers and die lines. 

Custom Card Stock Inserts:

- Our standard insert for Poker/Bridge cards is an insert that splits the box in half, and sits 0.75" tall, perfect for 108 card decks.

- We have an insert made for 3.5"x3.5" square cards so they do not move around in the box.

- If you have a smaller deck of poker/bridge cards we have an insert made so that one deck of around 54 cards fits in the box and does not move around freely, with room for rules on top.

- If you have a custom insert design in mind then feel free to reach out and we can confirm if we can make it, and then there are no additional fees for that custom insert.

ALL BOXES NOW MANUFACTURED USING 14PT COATED CARD STOCK AND LAMINATED FOR A PROFESSIONAL AND HEAVY DUTY FINISH. Lamination will be either gloss or matte depending on what is currently being used on our laminator. The Boxes and Specs In Order of Size

- 36 Card POKER Tuck Box: Comfortably holds 36 Poker (or Bridge) cards on 12pt or Casino card stock. If you are using 14pt or Linen card stock the 54 Slim may be a better option, or if you plan to add rules to your box we would recommend going up to the 54 Slim as well.

- 54 Slim Card POKER Tuck Box: Perfectly holds 54 Poker (or Bridge) cards on 12pt or Casino card stock. This is SPOD's Choice for a traditional deck of playing cards, or any deck that has 54 cards and is using the 12pt or Casino stock. Please note 14pt and Linen will NOT fit in this box and will require the regular 54 card box.

- 54 Card POKER Tuck Box: Comfortably holds 54 Poker (or Bridge) cards on 14pt or Linen card stock, OR 54 cards on 12pt or Casino with the addition of rules in your box. Fun fact this was the first box we ever made and offered here at SPOD!

- 72 Card POKER Tuck Box: Comfortably holds 72 Poker (or Bridge) cards on 12pt, 14pt, Linen, or Casino card stock. If you are adding rules to your box you cannot fix 72 cards on 14pt or Linen, but rules will fit with the 12pt or Casino cards. Another fun fact this was the second box ever made and offered here at SPOD!

- 90 Card Poker Tuck Box: Comfortably holds 90 Poker (or Bridge) cards on 12pt, 14pt, Linen, or Casino card stock. If you are adding rules to your box you cannot fix 90 cards on 14pt or Linen, but rules will fit with the 12pt or Casino cards.

- 108 Card POKER Tuck BOX: Comfortably holds 108 Poker (or Bridge) cards on 12pt, 14pt, Linen, or Casino card stock. If you are adding rules to your box you cannot fix 108 cards on 14pt or Linen, but rules will fit with the 12pt or Casino cards. This is Anthony's Choice for a box if you have 108 poker cards.

- 36 SLIM Card TAROT Tuck Box: Perfectly holds 36 Tarot cards on our 12pt or Casino card stock (Remember we do not recommend casino for tarot cards). If you are using 14pt or Linen this box can only hold around 27 cards. If you would like to use this box for Poker (or Bridge) cards then it could hold around 72 cards on 12pt or casino stock, or 54 cards on 14pt or Linen.

- 60 Card TAROT Tuck Box (108 Poker Cards Side by Side): This box is also referred to as our "Double Tuck Box" as it is basically two 54 card poker tuck boxes combined together. With that in mind it comfortably holds around 60 Tarot Cards on 12pt, 14pt, Linen, and Casino, and allows for additional room for a rules sheet or mini rule book if you use 12pt or Casino cards. If you are using this box for Poker (or Bridge) size cards then the same applies, allowing for 108 cards on all four stocks, or rules added to 12pt or Casino decks.

- 45 SLIM Card TRADITIONAL TAROT Tuck Box: Perfectly holds 45 Traditional Tarot Cards on 14pt or Linen Stock, OR 54 cards on 12pt or Casino stock. This box was designed specifically to hold 45 cards on our 14pt stock with a slim and sleek fit.

- 81 Card TRADITIONAL TAROT Tuck Box: Comfortably holds 81 Traditional Tarot Cards on 12pt, 14pt, Linen, or Casino card stock. HOLD DO NOT ORDER. ISSUE DISCOVERED WITH TEMPLATE AND DIE 6/4/21

- Boxes can be whatever artwork you design with no limitations.

- We print multiple boxes on a sheet. The quantity you order is for individual boxes, not sheets of boxes.

- If you are ordering 1 box you only need to design 1 box on the template sheets. If you are ordering more than 1 we ask that you fill out all of the boxes on the template sheets. Most people do the entire sheet regardless, but this is just a small disclaimer that we require the full sheet for larger orders and not for 1 offs.

- Don't forget you can order B&W or Full Color Rules for your decks as well. If you are order a 54 card deck on 12pt or casino and would like to use the 54 slim box there will be no room for a rules sheet or mini rule book. If you would like to add rules please use any of the other NOT slim boxes.

Gone are the days of warehousing books.  The need to have books on hand has been replaced with on demand printing.  Print what you know you need to meet your demands.  In other words, print your books after you receive orders.

Color printing is our strongest and most impressive specialty.

Superior POD’s software programs have been designed and perfected to print books with monochrome text and random color pages inserted throughout.

 

Our standard or house stock for your book interior is 60# offset white paper. You can upgrade this paper choice in the order menu.

Our covers are 10pt C1S stock and are film laminated to give a rich look and protection.

For Perfect Bound Books you will need to calculate spine width. Use the following formula to calculate spine width:

The number of pages (not pieces of paper) x .002435 = Spine width in inches
Example: 100 pages x .002435 = .243 inch spine width.

Use Mini Book Cover Template for cover design
Interior Pages must be in multiples of 4 not including cover
File should be PDF in reader format, single pages in numerical format
Bleed should be 1/4" which means over all page size would be 4" x 5.5"
We suggest a minimum margin of 3/16", there is no template for the interior pages
