Book Printing - Coil Binding (318859)
Plastic Coil Bound BooksPlastic Coil Bound Books 8.5” x 11” (Letter Size) Plastic Coil Bound Books have an advantage over other types of book binding. The biggest being that they will lay completely flat when laid open. This makes them perfect for: Photo Books These are the most popular sizes but if you have a custom size you need please do not hesitate to ask us for it. File Preparation for Coil Bound Books Unlike other types of books, Coil Bound Books have no spine. When preparing your front and back cover you will submit them as The first and last pages of your book respectively. The Front Cover being the first page and the back cover being the last page of your book. If your pages are full bleed, please be sure to add at least 0.25” bleed all the way around each cover. If your cover has white edges all the way around then they can be submitted without bleed. For the book interior we like at least 0.5” margins on the bind edge of the book and at least 0.25” margins on the other three sides. As with the cover, if your pages are full bleed please add at least 0.25” bleed all the way around the page. Book Printing - Perfect Binding (346882)
Perfect Bound BooksSuperior POD specializes in high quality printing, binding and even distribution of your books. Gone are the days of warehousing books. The need to have books on hand has been replaced with on demand printing. Print what you know you need to meet your demands. In other words, print your books after you receive orders. Color printing is our strongest and most impressive specialty.Superior POD’s software programs have been designed and perfected to print books with monochrome text and random color pages inserted throughout.
Our standard or house stock for your book interior is 60# offset white paper. You can upgrade this paper choice in the order menu. Our covers are 10pt C1S stock and are film laminated to give a rich look and protection. For Perfect Bound Books you will need to calculate spine width. Use the following formula to calculate spine width: The number of pages (not pieces of paper) x .002435 = Spine width in inches
